The company origin goes back to the 1940s, when Arthur Mallon, a master butcher from a family of butchers , opened his own butcher shop , armed with a wealth of experience and family recipes , handed down through generations.

The business flourished, and Arthur built up a reputation for quality and innovation, and Mallon’s sausages became much sought after by locals and further afield. Demand for sausages in particular grew and this led to wholesaling to retailers and catering establishments in the north east region , built on quality , consistency and decorated regularly by winning sausage competitions’ in Ireland and the UK.

A dedicated production team are backed up by quality control / assurance, NPD, and an admin / sales team with years of experience and knowledge. The operation is steered by Patrick Mallon, who studied meat technology in the UK, then worked in the industry in Ireland and UK, before taking over and developing the business to what it is today. A wealth of knowledge in sausage production, variety, markets , consumer research etc has been built up by Paddy and his team, and Mallon’s are highly regarded as specialist sausage makers , and now produce sausage for a broad range of customers.
